Unleash the Power of Mentoring in Your Organization
NorCal NECA is committed to individual growth within the electrical construction industry. In 2024, the Chapter is continuing its quarterly Professional Development Program. This program will consist of quarterly seminars to enhance member skills, leadership qualities, and problem-solving abilities. Participants will leave each session inspired and have the tools to be more effective in the workplace, make meaningful contributions to their teams, and advance in their careers. These seminars are free to NorCal NECA Members.
The 3rd Quarter 2024 program will be “Unleash the Power of Mentoring in Your Organization.” This dynamic program will be presented virtually by Dale Carnegie.

About this program: A powerful way to engage employees, improve performance, and build loyalty is to create a mentoring program. Pairing less experienced workers with tenured associates can help keep lines of communication open. An effective mentoring program demonstrates an interest in the long-term goals and success of employees, identifies opportunities to meet those goals, assists in succession planning, and passes on important values, expertise and experiences.
As a leader, you are probably already mentoring on a daily basis. But with a mentoring program, there are others to help you guide the less experienced. The best part is that everyone is engaged, and an engaged team is a happy and productive one! Mentors to mentees for win-win outcomes.
At the end of this program, you will be able to:
- Apply the essentials for launching a successful mentoring initiative
- Determine a mentoring purpose and what mentee groups your program will serve
- Use guidelines to find, prepare and match mentors to mentees for win-win outcomes
- Use a five-step process for mentoring conversations to build strong relationships
