About the Instructor:  Dr. Awad Hanna – Professor and Chair of the Construction Engineering and Management program at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering.

About this Course:  Construction delay claims can impact any electrical construction project, and the nature of our industry is conducive to them because delays caused by other contractors are commonly passed on to the electrical contractors. This course will discuss how to minimize delay claims and prepare and present your side in a clear and persuasive manner. Following this class, participants will be able to:

  • Describe the basics of claims and delay claim management
  • Identify best practices to use in the workplace to avoid delay claims
  • Demonstrate how to prepare, analyze and present claims
  • Recognize causes of delay claims
